Emily Hudson, ND, MA, PLCP, is a a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) with the state of Missouri. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology as well as her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2017. During her studies, she was a staff counselor at Bastyr University and offered affordable therapy to female identifying clients at Seattle Therapy Alliance. She has been a counselor at Roots Renewal since 2019. She enjoys working with adults and couples experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief/loss, chronic illness, identity development, OCD, body image and self-confidence issues.
Her approach to counseling is grounded in humanism and trauma informed care. She believes mental health should be treated as a part of a whole which includes caring for the body, mind, and spirit. In addition, Emily utilizes various therapeutic techniques based on the needs of each client, such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and ERP.
